    This year's 'Day of Light' (Lysets Dag*) conference, organised by the Danish Lighting Center, will take place Sept 30 in Copenhagen. Bianca Van Der Zande, Philips Research, will talk about human centric lighting in a working environment. She will use the newly conducted field study at Karolinska Hospital Stockholm as an example. In the exhibition area luminous textile will trigger passers-by with a unique interactive concept. "We think the interactivity with peope is a very human centric way of involving them in a lighting installation."  says concept developer Aäron Blokker,Transension. *Some presentations are in English and some in Danish.

    Centrum Galerie Dresden, owned by Corio NV, is the setting of the largest luminous textile installation in the world. It consists of two walls of 6 panels. In total 74m2 of luminous textile.     Philips has developed an innovative concept, in collaboration with Nordsjællands Hospital and Wavecare ApS, where soothing tones, changing coloured lighting and imagery on the wall will create a calming and stimulating ambience for the benefit of women in labour, their families and the medical staff. The maternity ward at Nordsjællands Hospital has opened today two brand-new facilities known as “sensory birthing rooms”. In future, they will provide the setting for the births of some babies delivered at the hospital.
